Terms and Conditions
- Tickets are strictly non-transferable (unless the official procedure for name changing, outlined in 11, below, is followed). They are printed with the name of the ticket holder, and photographic ID will be checked on the night.
- Tickets are not available for sale to persons under the age of 18. Photographic ID will be checked on the night, and those under 18 will be refused entry.

Guests with tickets sold at the price for members of the University must present a valid University Card at the entrance.
- Non-university members found to have purchased tickets at the price for members of the University will be required to pay the difference at the entrance or refused entry to the ball.
- In the event of the May Ball being cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of The Committee, or on order of any authoritative person that is not part of The Committee, or on any other reasonable grounds, The Committee is not obliged to refund any of the ticket price to ticket holders.
- The May Ball Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder to the May Ball or eject any ticket holder from the May Ball for any reasonable cause.
- The Committee reserve the right to conduct searches of ticket holders at the ball.
- The Committee reserve the right to make alterations to any aspects of the May Ball programme without notifying ticket holders.
- A deadline for payment for the ticket shall be set by The Committee, who shall communicate this information to those who have applied for tickets. If applicants fail to meet this deadline their ticket is deemed forfeited and The Committee reserve the right to reallocate the ticket or tickets in question. The Committee may allocate different payment deadlines to different applicants.
- The ticket holder must adhere to all other relevant deadlines that may be set by The Committee and communicated to the ticket holder, otherwise their ticket is likewise deemed forfeited.
- £20 of the payment for a ticket constitutes a non-refundable deposit.

If a ticket holder wishes to cancel they should do so by informing the ticketing officer at tickets@claremayball.com.
- If the ticket is cancelled at any time before the 14th of May, only the non-refundable deposit shall be forfeited.
- If the ticket is cancelled at any time between the 14th of May and the date of the ball the total cost of the ticket shall be forfeited.

If a ticket holder wishes to change details of the ticket (name etc.) they should do so by informing the ticketing officer at tickets@claremayball.com.
- To do so before the 14th of May shall incur a charge of £25.
- To do so between the 14th of May and the 7th of June shall incur a charge of £30.
- To do so between the 7th of June and the 14th of June shall incur a charge of £35.
- The Committee reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions without notice.
